Old Lumps - Melt
Old Lumps, the band I play drums in (w/Charlyne Yi and Jess Cowley on Bass/Guitar/Vocals) recorded an EP a few weeks ago, and it’s almost done. This is a song from it, and it came out pretty well. It’s really poppy, and kind of 90’s maybe? I don’t know. Also, the guitar intro sounds like it’s from a 70s ballad or a lesser Iron Maiden song. There are little moments where I can hear mistakes I made, and it’s starting to strike me as odd that I wound up the drummer in what is basically a girl band, but I REALLY like this song. It makes me happy. Maybe it’ll make you happy?
If I am notorious for anything, it is for being hard on shit, but this won me over pretty quick. Dave, embrace those mistakes. That’s rock and roll.
